• July 2004-December 2008: Deutsche Bahn AG, DB Systemtechnik, Aerodynamics and HVAC group, München-Freimann. Project manager for "Aerodynamics in Open Air".

• February 2002, Habilitation thesis "Numerical simulation and analysis of turbulent flows", Technische Universität Berlin

• July 1998-June 2004: Assistant at the Hermann-Föttinger-Institute for Fluid mechanics (now ISTA), Technische Universität Berlin; Project manager in Sfb 557 "Control of complex turbulent shear flows"

• Numerical flow simulation and computational aeroacoustics (CAA)

• Flow control by passive and active means

• Aerodynamics and aeroacoustics of vehicles (road, rail, aerospace)

• Flow noise generation and attenuation in ducts
