The Institut is in the building 6, 1. Floor of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
Lichtenbergstraße, Gateway gate North 2. Follow the street till building 6. The workshop is in the ground floor, behind the main entrace go left.

Approach to Campus Garching
You can reach us easily with public transport or the car. Also from the aerport Munich we are not far away.
With public transport:
You reach us with the underground line U 6 (station "Garching Forschungszentrum"), the bus lines 230 and 690.

With the car:
We are located ner the highway A 9. Take the exit "Garching Nord". Then the federal highway B 11.

You leave the highway at the exit Garching Nord,
turn right at the next cross-way.
At the next traffic light you drive left on the B11,
at the next cross way you turn right.
Then you drive after ca. 500 meters on a big parking place. This is on the western side of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
By a footpath you reach the faculty building through the western entrance.
The staircase to the Institute of Aerodynamics is after ca. 20 meters on the left side. It´s the building 6 of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. You are going up to the first floor, take the right entrance door. Then you are arrived at the Institute of Aerodynamics and Fluidmechanics.

You can take the S1 till Neufahrn. There you take the bus 690 till Campus Garching.
You can also take the S8 till Ismaning. There you take the bus 230 till Garching Research Center.
You need ca. 50 minutes time.
Taxis you can order here. A drive by taxi from the airport to Garching Forschungszentrum costs you approximately 50 Euro.
When you are registered at Drive Now or intend to do it you can take a Drive Now Car at the airport and come to Forschungszentrum in Garching. An explication you are finding here.
