New researchers at the chair of thermodynamics

Over the last few months, four new coworkers started their time at the chair

Zuobiao Li
Mateusz Hoffert
Muhammad Amjad
Jun Zheng

Recently the Chair welcomes a batch of newcomers, and they are:

  1. Mr. Zuobiao Li, who is currently a PhD student from Harbin Institute of Technology, started in December 2022 as a visiting student for 2 years. He is working on AI data driven for film cooling design of aero-engines.
  2.  Mr. Mateusz Hoffert, a recent TUM M.Sc. graduate in Aerospace Engineering, who started in January 2023 as a Teaching Assistant. His research interest is in hypersonic, and will develop some multiscale coupling and simulation tools for high speed flows
  3. Dr. Muhammad Amjad, a Ph.D. graduate from the University of Leeds and Associate Professor in the University of Engineering Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, who started in Feb. 2023 as a Post-doc Research Fellow.  He works in the area of nano-Energy Engineering, and will develop some nanotechnologies for energy applications, while he is at the Chair.
  4. Mr. Jun Zheng, a recent TUM M.Sc. graduate in Renewable Resources at the TUM campus Straubing, started in Feb. 2023 as a Ph.D. student. His research interest is in Energy Storage, and he will develop some in-situ measurement techniques for chemical and thermos-physical properties of high temperature molten salts.

The Chair sends its warm welcome to all of them, and wishes them all big success!
