The Institute of Thermodynamics is pleased to welcome Professor Dr. Soo Yong Lee, principal researcher in rocket propulsion at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), and Professor of Aerospace System Engineering at the Korea University of Science and Technology. Professor Lee’s research is primarily in the field of rocket combustors focusing on injection coupled combustion instabilities, two-phase flows, and atomization. Aim of his industrial work is the development of injectors for staged combustion rocket engines and preburners as well as the design of turbo-pumps and igniters.
Professor Lee’s knowledge and work experience in rocket propulsion is highly appreciated and the Insitute of Thermodynamics is looking forward to launching joint research activities.
