New Dr.-Ing.

Dr. Moritz Schulze passed his doctoral examination with distinction

On Monday July 18, our graduate student Moritz Schulze has defended his dissertation entitled "Linear Stability Assessment of Cryogenic Rocket Engines" in the oral exam with success. The examination with the second examiner Prof. Michael Oschwald of RWTH Aachen and Prof. Hans-Jakob Kaltenbach, who was standing in for the Chairman Prof. Oskar Haidn who had stranded in Paris, came to the conclusion that the dissertation deserves the predicate “with distinction”.

The staff of the Institute of Thermodynamics congratulates our new Dr.-Ing. Moritz Schulze for this excellent result and wishes him well in the future. He plans to stay a few months more at the Institute to push the research activities in the field of combustion instabilities forward.

With this successful examination, the 4th doctorate at the Institute  of Thermodynamics 2016 was completed.
