ICDERS Lee Young Investigator Award

Award of the Institute for Dynamics of Explosions and Reactive Systems for Dr.-Ing. Josef Haßlberger

We are pleased to convey that Dr.-Ing. Josef Haßlberger received the ICDERS Lee Young Investigator Award from the Institute for Dynamics of Explosions and Reactive Systems. The basis for this achievement is his research work on "Numerical Simulation of Deflagration-to-Detonation Transition on Industry Scale" at the Chair of Thermodynamics. Meanwhile he is working as PostDoc at the University of the German Armed Forces in Munich/Neubiberg on his habilitation.

JOHN H. S. LEE YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD SPONSORED BY FM GLOBAL The purpose of the award is to encourage young scientists to undertake research in the Dynamics of Explosions and Reactive Systems. Recipients must be either students or combustion scientists who have received their PhD (or equivalent) within the last three years before the Colloquium (International Colloquium on the Dynamics of Explosions and Reactive Systems), and an author of a paper accepted for the Colloquium.
