Collaboration with Japanese Gas Turbine Industry

After Yoshikazu Matsumura (Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems) visited Lehrstuhl für Thermodynamik as a guest researcher for one year resulting in a joint publication (V. Hoferichter, P.M. Keleshtery, C. Hirsch, T. Sattelmayer and Y. Matsumura, „Influence of Boundary Layer Air Injection on Flashback of Premixed Hydrogen-Air Flames“, Proceedings of ASME Turbo Expo, 2016, Seoul, GT2016-56156), a TD delegation has now travelled from this year’s ASME Turbo Expo in Seoul to Japan for a return visit. Apart from an extensive cultural and culinary program Mr. Matsumura organized a factory tour in Takasago including the combustion test beds as well as the gas turbine assembly shop. The two visiting TD researchers Stephan Lellek and Vera Hoferichter were deeply impressed and inspired and like to thank Mr. Matsumura for this exceptional experience.
