25 Years Precision Engineer at the Institute of Thermodynamics

Success in experimental research depends not only on the capabilities of the scientists and doctoral students, but also on efficient workshops with motivated and experienced employees. In this sense, Josef Dorrer has been working in the mechanical workshop headed by Jens Hümmer for 25 years now to keep the experimental infrastructure at the chair up to date. There is probably no single experimental set-up in the numerous labs of the Institute, which does not contains parts made by Josef Dorrer or which he has not been working on in another way. Especially the experimenters, together with the Senior Scientists Christoph Hirsch and Markus Spinnler, as well as with Professor Thomas Sattelmayer, thank Josef Dorrer for his many years of support for their experimental research work.
