For his excellent dissertation, entitled „Geometrically Exact Finite Element Formulations for Slender Beams and Their Contact Interaction“, Dr.-Ing. Christoph Meier has been awarded the Dr.-Klaus-Körper-Award of GAMM for the year 2017. In addition, GAMM decided to nominate him for the ECCOMAS Best PhD award for the two best PhD theses in Europe in Computational Methods in Applied Science and Engineering.
