Yueming Yang Presented Research on Multiscale Coupled Simulation at ICTEA 2026
Yueming Yang participated in the 17th International Conference on Thermal Engineering: Theory and Applications (ICTEA 2026), held in Valletta, Malta, from June 22 to 24, 2026. The conference brought together researchers and engineers from around the world to discuss recent advances in thermal engineering, multiphase flows, fluid mechanics, energy systems, and related fields.
During the conference, Yueming Yang delivered an oral presentation on his research in multiscale coupled simulation of flow and heat transfer. His presentation introduced a multiscale CFD–MD coupling framework for simulating flow and heat transfer in micro/nanochannels. The framework bridges molecular-scale interfacial physics with continuum-scale transport, enabling systematic investigations of slip flow, interfacial heat transfer, and the effects of surface roughness and wettability on thermal transport performance.
In addition to delivering his presentation, Yueming Yang attended keynote lectures and technical sessions covering emerging topics in thermal engineering, including multiphase flow and heat transfer, phase-change phenomena, and high-fidelity numerical simulation. ICTEA 2026 provided an excellent platform to learn about the latest scientific developments and engage in meaningful discussions with internationally recognized researchers. Hosted in the historic city of Valletta, Malta, the conference also offered participants the opportunity to appreciate the country's rich cultural heritage and distinctive Mediterranean environment, creating an inspiring atmosphere for scientific exchange.
