Rui Fang elected vice president of newly founded ECS Student Chapter Munich

On September 2nd, 2015, 19 master students, Ph.D. students, and postdoctoral researchers from four different research groups founded the first German student chapter of the Electrochemical Society (ECS), named "ECS Student Chapter Munich". During the foundation meeting at the Chair of Technical Electrochemistry at the TUM, Rui Fang was elected vice president of the new student chapter. The purpose of the student chapter, as stated in the bylaws, is to provide graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from the Munich area with the opportunity to foster a greater understanding for science and technology in the field of electrochemistry, to further enhance their professional development, and to enrich their academic experience. This shall primarily be achieved by creating a platform for a quick-and-simple exchange of research ideas, experiences, and results on a direct working level, i.e., from student to student.
