Dr. Francesc Verdugo was awarded with the "SEMNI prize 2014" for the best thesis in numerical methods in engineering in Spain for his doctoral work carried out at the Laboratori de Càlcul Numèric (LaCàN), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
