Congratulations to Christian J. Cyron for his new positions - a Professorship at the TU Hamburg as well as Helmholtz Centre Geesthacht

On March 1st, 2018 Dr.-Ing. Christian J. Cyron was appointed as a full Professor (W3) of Continuum and Materials Mechanics at Hamburg University of Technology. Previously, Dr. Cyron had worked for many years at the Institute of Computational Mechanics of TUM, first as a teaching assistant and PhD student and most recently as head of a research group funded by the prestigious Emmy-Noether program of the German Research Foundation (DFG). Since March 1st, 2018 he is now head of the Institute of Continuum and Materials Mechanics at Hamburg University of Technology and at the same time head of the department of simulation of materials and structures at the Helmholtz Center Geesthacht, a word-wide renowned major federal research laboratory focussing on materials science.
