Dominic Herting joins the TFD group

We are happy to welcome Dominic Herting as a new colleague at our chair. Dominic earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science from TU Berlin and his Master’s degree in Energy and Process Engineering from TU Munich. His background is in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). For his Master’s thesis at the TFD chair, he developed a numerical framework to investigate thermo-diffusive combustion instabilities in hydrogen flames using linear stability analysis. In his new position at the chair, he will continue the ongoing research on thermoacoustic flame instabilities utilizing the Linearized Reactive Flow (LRF) equations.
