Brief Biography
Gautham Giri joined Prof. Khanwale’s research group as a PhD student at the Technical University of Munich in September 2026. He obtained his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from IIT Palakkad. His master’s thesis focused on the hydrodynamic stability of the boundary layer beneath a Stokes wave. His current research focuses on the modelling and simulation of compressible fluid–structure interaction using immersed boundary methods.
